Groom preparation

For me, it is always a moving moment when a father helps his son into his jacket or ties his tie. It is often followed by a sincere, firm handshake or an embrace. I am the father of two sons, and although neither is married yet, I already think about that future moment with emotion. Even as a photographer, I still feel a shiver when I witness scenes like this.

Whether the groom is being helped by his mother, father, siblings or friends, I try to guide the situation only as much as necessary and find the right angle without disturbing its natural flow. I do not want to stage something that is already genuine. I look for the most emotional moments, sometimes with tears, because they often say more about the people involved than any posed photograph could.

Photographing the groom’s preparation is an important opening chapter in the wedding story. Beyond the jacket, tie, watch and final adjustments, the human relationships are what matter most to me. At weddings in Târgu Mureș and Mureș County, these small gestures often become the photographs that, years later, bring back the anticipation before the ceremony, the closeness of family and that special feeling that the wedding is about to begin.
